Create Lasting Impact

Our Story

The Rotary Club of River Ayeyarwady (RCRA) was officially formed by a dedicated group of individuals originally from a local BNMC network. Overcoming initial learning curves and language barriers during our charter year, our members have united under a shared passion for hands-on, meaningful community service. Today, we represent a growing and vibrant community of professionals driven by the desire to participate in organized charity work and build lasting fellowship.

Our Mission: Service Above Self

Under the 2026-27 leadership, our club’s primary focus is simple: “Impact.” We are dedicated to creating sustainable, long-term benefits for our local communities in true alignment with Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self.” By building strong, collaborative partnerships with other Rotary and Rotaract clubs across Myanmar—and conducting joint meetings to foster knowledge sharing—we are continuously expanding our reach.

Dear Members, Partners, and Friends,

Welcome to the Rotary Club of River Ayeyarwady (District 3350). As the Charter President, I am deeply honored to share the story of our foundation, our core values, and the meaningful path we are charting forward.

While we embrace all of Rotary’s 7 Areas of Focus, our club has identified three urgent priorities where we aim to make the most significant and immediate impact:

The Rotary Club of River Ayeyarwady is fully committed to carrying out long-term, high-impact humanitarian services. However, true sustainable change cannot be achieved alone.

We warmly invite all members, prospective volunteers, and community partners to unite with us, combine our strengths, and collaborate to make a meaningful difference.

My dear friends and family of Rotary.

​Before we change the world, we must allow Rotary to change us. When we change ourselves for the better, we strengthen our clubs, our communities, and our ability to serve.

​But change is only the first step. Impact is what endures.
​As members of Rotary, we share a vision of a better world.| A world free of polio.| A world at peace.| A world where everyone has access to education and opportunity.

​To make that vision a reality, we must focus not only on outcomes, but on impact that lasts long after our work with Rotary ends.
